The coronavirus (Covid-19) first appeared in an animal market in the Wuhan province of China. A group of patients were first diagnosed on January 13, 2020, after respiratory diseases (such as cough, high fever, shortness of breath) were observed. The spread of the disease was very high and spread to the whole country in a short time. Panicked people began to emigrate from their cities and thus helped spread the disease. The disease has now spread to about 110 countries. Until March 11, 2020, there were no coronavirus cases in Turkey. Unfortunately, this number continued to increase after the first case was identified. Our country took precautions early for this outbreak compared to other countries. After the first case was announced, schools were vacationed, and according to the update today, all social areas (such as cafes, sports facilities, amusement parks, restaurants) were temporarily closed. After the first corona chorus describes the case in Turkey that day, there was a stampede in all markets. People went to the markets and pharmacies early in the morning to buy cologne and disinfectants, and then they started to stock up products such as; pasta, rice, toilet paper. A great atmosphere of panic and chaos occurred. Everybody got into a shopping frenzy by being psychologically affected. “There’s plenty of toilet paper in the US – so why are people hoarding it?” By Zagorsky As he says in his article, people feel more secure by stacking or they may be programmed to bioaccumulate.
The best thing to do in this process is to go out as little as possible so as not to endanger anyone’s health. We should wash our hands more than before and avoid contact with people as much as possible. Schools are on holiday, but it would be wrong to call it ‘holiday’ and experience this as a ‘holiday’. This is an emergency and a more dangerous epidemic than we think. The coronavirus has a 14-day incubation period and we can hardly see any effects for 14 days. Especially those coming from abroad should be much more careful and need to isolate themselves for 2 weeks. Elderly and sick people are generally poorly affected by the coronavirus, and deaths are usually seen in older people. The illness affects the elderly badly. Yes, maybe nothing will happen to us, but we can spread this disease to people we love. I think there is only one good thing about this virus, which is that people pay much more attention to cleanliness and hygiene. There is no cure for the coronavirus outbreak, which is the most dangerous feature of the outbreak. I hope there is a cure soon, and we can get rid of this disease before more people die.
