Semiotics; is a science based on a systematic review of all factors, including the interpretation, production or understanding of signs. Many indicators are often used when promoting a product. TV advertisements, photographs and emotional items in them are used to promote a product. Ads are shaped according to each country’s own culture and lifestyle. The advertisements that reflect our Turkish culture the most are the advertisements in Ramadan. The most successful of these ads belong to Coca Cola. The most beautiful advertisement I have in mind is the one named ‘Memleket Apartmani’. As the name implies, there is an apartment and this is a place that contains all of us. Often people miss their hometown, especially they are longing for the neighborhood, helping. This advertisement drew attention to these values of people. We see this in the apartment they live in the same ad people from every region of Turkey. There are many people in different statuses in this apartment. For example; such as old people, young girls with colorful hair, a woman with a turban and her husband, students. When it is time for iftar, they all drink Coca Cola by sharing the dishes they make at a common table on the terrace of the building. At the end of the advertisement, we talk about being with Coca Cola at the same table with our differences and common points. I think Coca Cola is trying to give the message that it is what unites us here. It emphasizes that people of different characters and lifestyles come together and drink Coca Cola at dinner as their common point. Although Coca Cola does not belong to our culture, people consume Coca Cola every month during Ramadan thanks to these advertisements. As a result, advertisements are successful if they comply with people’s cultures, religions, and norms.
