When La La Land was awarded in many fields and became very popular, this film was not interesting for some reason. Frankly, I never watched it, thinking that I wouldn’t like a musical movie. I thought it was time to watch when this assignment was given. I started watching the movie at midnight and I got bored at the beginning. Later, this movie made me feel like I was watching an animated movie and it started appealing. It is also a fact that the music used in the movie relieves the soul of the person. In fact, in the first half of the film, I watched it without adding any meaning to the film, and as far as I observed, all the branches of art in this film are like music, dance, theater, cinema, graffiti, works of art. This movie is like an art show. Normally, the talks between actors in the movies are important, but even if the actors did not speak in this movie, this movie could only attract people’s attention with the legendary framing of the director, music, and dance. Although I should mention the actors, the actors also represented an art branch. In the film, we can see the passionate love of “stage” and “music” rather than the love of men and women. On the one hand, there is a man-made up of music with notes, and on the other, there is a woman who puts her dream world into words and displays it on the stage. Just as the female character initially found jazz music just relaxing and saw jazz in the background as a piece of background music where people could continue their conversations, I saw it as a movie that could play in the background. But later, just as the female character understood the spirit of jazz music, I understood the spirit of the movie and I was able to go deeper. In the movie, we saw that what fueled art was actually a passionate love. But one should not look at love as a relationship only between people, but passionate love of art rather than the interpersonal relationship is important. In short, I made a lot of meaning from the movie and watched it with much pleasure until the end.
